Ew, Thanks giving.

I am getting tired of watching thanksgiving shows. There was a cartoon about a turkey earlier and then last night, or earlier this morning, I was watching Fresh Prince and there were three episodes about thanksgiving. And now I am watching the Food channel and Sandra Lee has had back to back episodes of thanksgiving meals. Now, I am just waiting for the history channel to show a documentary on the Pilgrims with those research specialists talking with suspense about the journey from England to America as if they were the ones who experienced it.

I don't like all these thanksgiving foods. I don't like pumpkin pie, turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy. When I used to live in San Diego, thanksgiving was always an Asian feast. I remember one thanksgiving where we had korean ribs, sashimi some select filipino foods, some chow fun, egg flower soup, red bean cakes, gyoza, fish balls, and spring rolls. I think the only American thing we had were the cookies. And maybe the ice cream, but even that was green tea flavor from a respectable Japanese company.

Now that we live with my mom's side of the Family, they are a little more traditional with the food, so now all I get is all that turkey and mashed potatoes and stuff. I really would be happy with a thanksgiving with simple stir-fry. Or even some store bought california rolls, but I really don't like all that thanksgiving crap.

I wonder what crazy relatives are coming over this year. Every time crazy relatives come over, all hell breaks loose and pigs suddenly fly and chickens can actually function with no head.

I hope I work that morning. I really do.
