I hung out with Jen in Visalia today. We ate at this Mediterranean place and tried their beef gyros. We did a little shopping, and I still didn't buy my shoes.I hate how I get buyers remorse even before I buy things, it's a habit I swear.
I got to see her cool apartment. I swear it's like house or a condo. The walls were stucco, the kitchen was huge and they had tile in the house. New tile. I drew her a picture for her fridge with a father and son shark with an incorrect rainbow and happy sun. I got to know her dog. I like dogs when other people have them, but I just can't get myself to ever want one for my own living space. But I do like her dog because at least it's cute and doesn't bite or bark like crazy.
I drove back to town at around four, and the fog hit me like Silent Hill. Good thing I have some experience in driving through the fog, because back then, driving through the really thick stuff with all kinds of cars would have terrified me.
Charlene had gotten off work a little earlier than usual so we agreed to go to the new Japanese restaurant called Toshiko.
It was a nice little Neo-Japanese sit down restaurant. Very nice, very modern, very very expensive. The place was very nice and minimalistic. They even had a mesh grill for the yakiniku if you wanted to order any. As soon as we looked at the menu, we realized that it was way too expensive. For a small meal which consisted of miso soup, a salad and two choices of a limited list, it costed $16.95. That was wayyy to much for our budget. And that was probably the most popular and cheapest way to go if you wanted to try more than one thing whilte getting your money's worth. So we ended up ditching the place and going to a chinese place in Lemoore called Jade Garden, which ended up not too bad and more worth the money. I don't think we ever want to go to Toshiko, It's just wayyy to expensive, Better save that for a special occassion.
Shopping update: I bought a new pair of Levis from JC penny for ummm $20 with free shipping. I bought the skinny style because I hate how pants are too baggy and my legs are kind of not made for baggy.
