Monday- I had a good time at work on Monday, I made more money that I thought I would for a slow day. We also had a Mardi Gras promotion. Every time someone got a Black Jack they get Mardi Gras beads. I think I was the most annoying dealer that night because of that. When some one got a Black Jack I would give them that excited face and tell them " Oh! You get something special!" They would look at me and go "REALLY?" and omg it was priceless, I gave them some beads and they were so disappointed! One lady wanted her damn beads and yelled at me all vicously, so every time she got a Black Jack I gave her some. She started getting annoyed by the fifth Black Jack and told me that I didn't have to give them to her each and everytime and I told her " NO! I have to give them to you because you get a BlackJack! You wanted beads, you're going to get beads!" It was hilarious.
Tuesday- I hung out with Malaykham. We had lunch and a lot of food in between. We ended up going to a mini Karaoke bar/restaurant and it was great fun. After that we went to her brother's apartment in Fresno and hung out with them. They are the coolest people. I love her brothers and sisters, they are so nice and they are so inviting and funny. Malaykham's sister in-law cooked this Loas curry soup and it was the best I have ever had. I want to cook it some day myself, but it seem like so much work. I hope I can come over again like that. I thought it was so weird how I saw Malaykham's brother and sister in-law at a restaurant before I met them. It's so weird when that happens, especially in a big city. Her sister in-law is so nice and she is really pretty. She got hired with me at my Casino as a dealer but she turned it down because she was already making good money at Chuckchansi as a dealer. Oh and ugh, she knows kyle too and she's heard stuff about me. Good stuff, but still. Ugh. I love her brothers too, they are so laid back and we have cool conversations. They sound so white compared to Malaykham though. They were inviting me to all kinds of family functions and what not. I'll be sure to go. They always have good food.
Later that night I hung out with my friend La Teaonee and her sister Leonna. Those two girls are so weird and cool at the same time. And they are the skinniest, tallest black girls I have ever befriended. We hung out at Starbucks and chit chatted the night away. I usually hate starbucks, but I realized that it's the only place to really sit around now these days. Especially here in Hanford. Nothing to do at all. And plus I don't want to go shopping really with girls because not to be sexist, but they really do take a long time to shop. I can only shop with certain girls like Charlene, or Jenn. Even Malaykham, mainly because they know what they want and don't look around for ever and ever. So that was my Tuesday.
Today was fun. Beatrice had invited me and Ortencia to eat some Chinese food here in Hanford. She had just discovered Asia Gardens and was so excited to take us there. She even Invited Brian into the mix. We had a nice time. Every time I hang out with my friends from from the cage department I always have a good time. They seem to understand real people things a lot of the time. Dealers are always so stuck in their own little world with their noses so high in the clouds spending money like its unlimited. The only dealers I really talk to are Malaykham, Jenny, Alex, Cheryl and this new guy named Hue. That's pretty much my crew. I don't even talk to Thomas any more. I don't like how he changes when other people are around. He tries to fit in with other people by talking about alcohol and trashy party stuff when they are around but when it's just me and him and Jenny, he talks about being a goody-good all the time. Which is fine by me, but Jenny and I see it real fast and we don't like people that change how they are around different people.
I went to White's music and fell in love with this really nice fender acoustic/electric guitar that was $360 after taxes. It was actually on sale because original price was a little over $600. I could afford it, but that's a lot of money to spend all at once, so I put it on layaway and put down $75 on it. So about 20%. I looked it up online and I got it at 75% because they sell for $900 originally. I like this plan much better. And it's going to be the first really good guitar that I buy. I want to get really good at playing the guitar.I play chords well, but I want to be classically trained and be able to read notes well for it and move my fingers fluently across the neck and stuff. My main issue for a while was that me being a Violin player, I could only read a few single notes at a time, not like the piano and the guitar where chords are like three to five notes at one time.
I like how I am keeping myself busy. I finally got rid of my Blackberry Storm frenzy and now it's all about Khaki pants. I don't have one pair. I need one. Actually not really. I just want some. I probably won't buy any until I pay off my guitar. But thanks SAHG, hahah every one can tell me no and I wouldn't listen, you were like the decision maker for that one hahahah!
Well, I hope things keep getting interesting. I am having good relationships with customers. They know who I am now and they give me some good deals. Like today at Asia Gardens, one of my customers Kevin, cooked us some Shrimp chow mein and added tons and tons of shrimp and he even served it up to me personally. I felt hella special!
Well, that's it for this post.
