I have recently just moved on to Day shift and I still feel like these hours are crazier than graveyard for me. Every one who has spoken to me doesn't understand how I did the whole graveyard thing for so long. I don't understand how they do their hours for so long and get anything done. I'm just glad that I am not full time on this shift, because that means I will have nothing done at home. My hours are from 10:30am-7pm and 12:30pm-9pm. That is the whole day.
So far the customers are alright. Its consistent yet not overbearing. But the hard part was dealing cards while being ill. I think I even came into work with a fever and the whole day was just miserable for me. But I had fun. I was coughing and sneezing my brains out on the live table. I even sneezed on a lady and she started laughing. I wouldn't be laughing. Personally, I would be disgusted.
The people on the shift are by far a little more nicer despite what everyone says. The other shifts are a little bit mean when it comes to things and they all have too many inside jokes. These day shift people talk to you as they come, and if they are being fake, at least they aren't mean. I'd rather have them fake to me than mean, I think that maintaining a smile even if you don't like or care for the person is more professional.
Okay, so that's that.
There really isn't much going on for me at the moment. Ever since the whole shift change, time has been going so slow for me and I have lost contact with the outside world. I was planning on getting sick in a week because all the dayshift people know that it's my 21st birthday and they are already planning on going out for me. But I guess I got sick a little too early. I hope I can find some way to avoid them. They are crazy party animals.
I am currently watching Its Me Or The Dog on animal planet and I don't understand how people can give their dogs ice cream and kiss them on the lips. Dogs lick their butt and I don't like them licking me.
I think the british version of that show is better. The people are much more attractive and you really see how they live as opposed to the american version where all the people dress the same, and they start to cry every time Victoria gives them a hard talking to. She sugar coats things in the american episodes. Shes a total B*tch in the british episodes, but I like that better.
Well, I guess this post was more for killing time. I got home at about 9:30pm and I fell asleep up until 4am and I have nothing to do.
