My crazy day with Charlene.

Today was great. We did a lot of crazy things today. I personally think someone needs to document our crazy days like this.
We found a Persian Kabob food stand and got a chicken Kabob sandwich with this really great garlic sauce.

After that we attempted to try this Pizza hut that has this intriguing side note that says ” wing street” on the logo, but then we looked at how crummy the place was, and how grumpy the crew looked so we chickened out and left.

Then we were craving Japanese food so we wanted to check out this place called Tokyo Gardens. It so happens that the place is an expensive and very busy tepanyaki place so we chickened out from there too.

We remembered that there was another Japanese place that was smaller called Tachibana. We went in there, it was nice, quiet, and cozy. But the food was so expensive! You will literally spend a minimum of $25 for the cheapest stuff there. So we left.

And then, we went to the usual sushi place we go to. The one we usually prefer called Akamaru. We walked in and found out that one of the sushi chefs called in so there was only one on duty, and a little more than two dozen people who wanted sushi. We sat right in front of the Sushi Chef and he apologized and told us the wait on sushi. We were fine with it, but we waited so long for our menu and drink that we just apologized and said that we would come back tomorrow, then left. Our drink and menu never came in fact.

After three attempts and Failures for Japanese food, we decided to go to a place called Mimi’s cafe. The place served all kinds of fancy things, cordon bleu, Raviolis, baguettes with olive oil. Looks nice, but too expensive, so we look at each other  and read eachother’s minds to leave the place.

We ditched about five places tonight. Each one with a “Oh hell no” reaction.

So we end up eating at Red Robin. We get stuck with some bad waiter who keeps going back and forth and we can’t even talk to him without him saying ” I’ll be back”. He annoyed the crap out of me, and he was thinking he was cute. Which was not even true. I tipped him five bucks though because he didn’t charge for the drinks which was really expensive. We weren’t feeling the food really either because we generally aren’t interested in burgers, and everything affordable and worth getting is a damn burger there.

After that, it was already 10:30pm and we meet up with a friend named Regina. She wants to go to this bar called Lacy Inn, where the older crowd hang out and engage in Karaoke. We got there and it was small, crowded and stinky. This angry lesbian took our table and tried to bite our heads off and we decided to leave. Not to mention the place stank and it was really really small.

We went around looking for another Karaoke bar. Charlene and I really don’t want to go so we decide to go to Dennys  for a bite. After that we go to walmart to walk a little since it’s the only thing open for 24 hours.
We were messing with the Wii in the video game isle and an old coworker who was also named Evan came up to me and said Hi. Charlene and Regina looked at him and freaked out because Evan is not a bad looking guy, but he isn't cute either.  I had to clarify that this wasn't the same Evan. But they knew because of course, he wasn't cute. And he didn't smell cute either, according to Regina.

After that we have Caravel Ice cream cake.
and the day ends there.

I've been talking to Evan for more than a month, but it hasn't been official for too long. I notice he's picking up on my habits. It's kind of funny.
One thing I find funny about him is that he has literally 8 umbrellas in his car. I took a picture of him and his oldest one, dating far back in 1995.

A pretty good day, but I’ve been up for more than 24 hours and I’m still able to do stuff.
I hope my sleep is really good tonight. It better be!

  1. Sounds like a fun day. Lucky you guys didn't starve to death!

    8 umbrellas? That's a strange addiction.

  2. Yeah, we flaked out on a lot of things because we were looking for a certain flavor, and we knew what the foods were well worth at the places we flaked out on. Too expensive for not so good food, it isn't worth staying for!

Especially japanese food, i don't want to spend a fortune on food I can make at home!

Anyways, the story is with the umbrellas is that he keeps losing his umbrellas, and he keeps buying new ones when he thinks he loses one. And suddenly he found them all at once.

  3. japanese food is definitey expensive (>.<) but deliciously devine! i luv Unagi!! and Sushi! (^.^)
    i wish i had 8 umbrellas!
when its raining, we can never find an umbrella in our car or at home.. if we do find one, its probably broken (>.<)
if only i can make japanese food ~drooolz~ all i can do is Sushi (but thats like basic lol)

  4. yeah, I now have four umbrellas in my car just in case one of us forgets an umbrella.

Japanese food is simple, and should not cost so much! I would understand if it was about ten bucks per entree, but those places are charging like you can't get it any where else!
