I'm having a tie dilemma.

I don't know which one looks good. I don't even known if this shirt
looks nice with this sweater.

This will be the first time I've ever planned an outfit for anything
other than a formal outting. I want to look older than 17 this time
around.

So which one?

    Can I be brutally honest? From one gay man to another, I think you need a different sweater. Either of the ties would probably be ok... Do I see some thin blue stripes on that darker coloured one? If so, then I think that works. Although the gold on blue is ok as well. If the jumper is black and white, then it doesn't go with the shirt. It also looks a bit long/baggy - I would suggest rectifying the situation with a nice, new, well-fitting navy blue V-neck sweater :)

    Oh no! By any means ridicule me, no butcher me if you have to. I'm honestly no good at coordinating the more
    formal looking wear. I'm too used to my urban outfitter chic with mixing too many plaids and neutrals.

    So thanks you very much. Hahaha I knew something was off about my sweater!!
